September 16th Pickups

GmrGrl here with another exciting batch of pickups!

This time our pickups came from Cowley Road on the outskirts of Oxford and all bar one came from Charity Shops!

First up Tachiko picked up this super sweet deal in Age Concern. A boxed Crystal GBA & 3 boxed games!
Tony Hawk's Underground has seen some better days in terms of the packaging but Mario Kart is almost mint :)

This little lot was orginally marked up at £20 which was a bargain in itself but the lady behind the counter said we could have it for £10 as it had been in store for a while. It was orginally all bundled up in brown tape but luckily we managed to get it all off without causing any damage to the boxes!

Next we found an original Playstation, a Gamecube and a Mario Dancemat in another Charity Shop 'Barnardos'.
The gamecube was a nice pickup, the box is in a nicer condition than the one I already have and when we opened the console we found a copy of Star Wars Rebel Strike. I already had this game but it made a nice addition to Tachiko's collection (photocopied the cover of mine to give it a temp cover)

Originally I thought the dancemat was a little overpriced at £18 but when I opened it up I found a complete copy of Dancing Stage Mario Mix hidden away at the bottom, the mat itself is in an amazing condition, no cracks or peeling plastic anywhere!

Also picked up Micro Maniacs for the Playstation for 99p and when we looked inside the console itself we found a copy of GTA2 :)

Tachiko also picked up a copy of Wipeout2097 on the Saturn from the local game exchange store for £5 but when we got home and looked at it closely the game inside was a demo version. We took it back the next day and the guys in the shop were happy for us to swap it for something else. Tachiko couldn't find anything that took his fancy so I picked up a complete copy of Micro Machines 2 Turbo Tournament for the Megadrive.

as you can see it included invitations to give your friends for a tornament  & certificates for the winners! The J Cart is pretty cool as well as it included the ports for players 3 & 4.

Thats all for this post, next time: more boot sale pickups!
